A School Born of Faith: A Legacy Bold in Mission and United in Love
On August 28, 2025, the section of Grade 4 Blessed Augustus Czartoryski stepped onto the stage and presented their class blessed to the whole school. They started their presentation by leading the morning prayer, dedicating a prayer to him, and making the routine a little more special. Their feast day presentation started off with a short skit of Bl. Augustus’ life, then ending with a wonderful performance of song and dance to 10,000 Reasons, commonly known from its lyrics, “Bless the Lord O My Soul” by Matt Redman.
Augustus Czartoryski, despite being born into a family of royal descent and being a prince himself, chose priesthood instead, greatly displaying his holiness and humble nature. From being a young and devoted, sickly boy, to meeting St. John Bosco, and applying to be one of his Salesian Priests. This decision is worth celebrating for many years to come: to inspire, to hope, and to dream.
He once said, “Ad maiora natus sum.” (“I was born for greater things.”) reflecting his abandonment of wealth for a life of religious service. He always believed that God’s will should be pursued with extraordinary zeal. He is the true epitome of Don Bosco’s famous saying of doing your duties extraordinarily well.
Happy Feast day, Grade 4 – Czartoryski! May the story of your patron blessed be a stepping stone for the young to be of service to the Lord.
