The Tech-Savvy Millennial Saint: Carlo Acutis
The class of Grade 10 Saint Carlo Acutis and with the help of the other Grade 10 sections celebrated the feast day and canonization of Saint Carlo Acutis last September 8, 2025. Carlo Acutis, an ordinary teenager with an extraordinary love for God, continues to inspire young people to live their faith everyday. He used his gifts, especially in technology, to spread devotion and share God’s love with others. Through this celebration, the students were reminded that holiness is possible in their daily lives, even in the simplest ways.
During their skit, the Bosconians reflected on the question: “Paano ko makikita si Carlo Acutis sa panahon ngayon?” They showed how young people often face struggles and difficulties, but still find a way because of the help of the people around them and for God. They portrayed seeing Carlo Acutis, reminding them that the Lord is always present, waiting for them to shine again. The students highlighted that there are many young people today who quietly love God in their own ways, showing that there are many “Carlo Acutis” in this generation.
They recalled Saint Carlo Acutis own words: “You don’t have to do extraordinary things to be like me.” It emphasized the importance of making others feel loved, finding joy in simple service, and acting with sincerity from the heart. Friendship, kindness, service, and love for the Eucharist became the core values that the Bosconians learned from Saint Carlo Acutis examples.
For the Bosconians, Saint Carlo Acutis life serves as a guiding light or the “Liwanag sa Dilim” in them, and that holiness is attainable in the ordinary moments of life. His canonization reminded them that true greatness is created in small acts of love, faith, and service. Just like Carlo Acutis, they are called to bring Christ to others through their studies, friendships, and daily actions. Inspired by his examples, the Bosconians hope to live with joy, faith, and love for the Eucharist as modern witnesses of God’s presence in today’s world.
