With One Yes: Celebrating the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary
On September 4, 2025, we had an anticipated Eucharistic celebration on the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary β originally on the 8th of September , presided by Rev. Fr. Aneesh Chacko, SDB. It was a beautiful celebration of Marian devotion as Bosconians, teachers, staff, Sisters, and administrators came together in prayer to celebrate this wonderful occasion. The Mass featured readings led by the Marian club, Marian hymns, and floral offerings by the students to show their affection, devotion, and gratitude.
Β
Mary was chosen by God to be the Mother of Jesus, our Savior, which makes her day of birth so significant to our lives as good Christians. Her “Yes”, her humble acceptance of God’s will made space for us to receive the greatest blessing of all β Jesus Christ himself.
Celebrating her birth is a way of honoring how everything began. Mary’s birth wasn’t just another day β it was the start of something life-changing. Her “Yes” to God made all the difference, and since then, Mary served as an inspiration to all of us to be brave, faithful, and open to God’s plan even ifit’s not easy. She became an inspiration, not just to us, Christians, but to all mothers. As Bosconians celebrated her Nativity through this Holy Mass, we are called to reflect, trust in God’s plan, and say our courageous “Yes”.
Β
In the afternoon, during SYG time, the Bosconians, from grades 4-12, prayed the rosary in honor of Our Lady. The ten (10) βHail Maryβ prayers were spoken in different languages: English, Filipino, Vietnamese, and Latin. Each mystery of the rosary beautifully reflected the unity of humankind despite different races. Surely, each bead of the rosary was formed into roses as Bosconiansβ gift to Mother Mary in heaven.
Happy Birthday, Mama Mary! Live Jesus and Mary with Joy
